It’s the Perryman Pass
When a goal is set, best practise is to evaluate, restate and continue. Last week I set a goal; every child in the school would bring a piece of work they are proud of and show me by 22 November. Here is my analysis;
Evaluate
result 0%
reason- possibly not enough incentive.
Restate or modify
I will thank and reward every child in the school when they bring a piece of work to me that they are proud of.
Keep going
We don’t always get the desired results, it takes time.
If your child still has their Perryman Pass, please encourage them to come and see me, if they don’t please encourage them to come and see me anyway. Here is another pass just in case.
Once you have chosen a piece of work you are proud of,
ask your teacher if it is OK for you to use your PERRYMAN PASS
Bring your PERRYMAN PASS to Mrs Chauvier and let her know you would like to use your PERRYMAN PASS.
You can use your pass between 2pm and 3pm.
The process of goal setting is an important part of learning and student’s set learning goals for themselves on a regular basis. The gold is in the process of achieving the goal. Resilience, critical thinking, modifying and taking action are all essential skills for our students development.
I wonder what your child’s goal is at the moment?
Peace be with you
Caz Perryman
FROM THE ACTING ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
This year the staff have been learning about the Berry St Model for caring for children who are vulnerable or have trauma in their lives. Everybody goes through trauma at some point, such as loss of a loved one, family separation, violence, medical trauma, or bullying. The key is extra support and positivity throughout this time. The Berry St Model is really for all children as it looks at body regulation and mindfulness; building positive relationships; developing stamina; engagement in learning; and knowing your values and strengths (character) – skills for life! The things we are doing that build positive classrooms are: morning circle time, brain breaks, positive primers, mindful colouring, meditation, using golden statements and teaching the skills to regulate and manage stress.
Enjoy your weekend in the sunshine and find some time for yourself as well as your kids!

November 2nd - All Souls Day – The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed. Mass of All Souls will be celebrated at Bega Cemetery, 7am. BYO chair.
November is a special time in the Catholic Church to pray for the dead. All weekday masses in November are offered for those who have passed away. If you wish to add the names of loved ones to the November list please label an envelope ‘November list’ and include the names on notepaper and leave at the school or parish office or on the 2nd collection at Sunday Mass. It is customary to include a small donation.
For those considering becoming a Catholic or for those who wish to deepen their understanding, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) will commence 6pm Thursday 14th November back of the St Pat’s Church- continuing each week during School terms - until Easter 2020.
There is no obligation to becoming a Catholic, but it is a time to discern the call to become Catholic by exploring the faith, traditions and community of the Catholic Church. For more info please contact me. luke.verrell@cg.org.au
