Dear Parents and Carers,
Today we honoured the 2024 recipient of the Noa Jessop Memorial Award, Alice Johnson. Alice was nominated by peers and teachers for showing the three attributes we note in the award.
The award is presented every August to a student at St Patrick’s who emulates, in their school life at St Patrick’s, the core attributes for which Noa Jessop is remembered.
The three core attributes are:
- Christian Spirit – active participation in the faith and worship life of the class and school.
- Sportsmanship – fairness, inclusive of all, enjoys sport for its’ own sake, respectful of one’s fellow competitors, gracious in victory or defeat.
- Contribution to School - keen to participate in all school pursuits: academic and sporting, and to develop skills and ability with determination and courage.
We are proud of Alice on this achievement!
Congratulations to the other students who were nominated by multiple students and teachers: Arly Schrader, Zoe Sadler-Price, Will Nicholson, Liane Perena, Henry Philipzen and Austin Lay.
Family Homework In our planning for our 'A Taste of St Pat's' Multicultural Expo in Term 4 we have sent some family homework home this week. Please take some time to talk about your family heritage and help your children complete the work together. Please send it back to school with them by next Friday 23rd August. Thank you!
School Survey Thank you if you can find time to answer the annual Tell Them From Me parent survey.
The Tell Them From Me Parent Survey is anonymous, voluntary, and easy-to-use. It is based on a comprehensive questionnaire covering parents’ perceptions of their child’s experiences at home and at school.
Insights into parent and staff communication, activities and practices at home, and parent voice on the school’s support of learning and behaviour all build an accurate and timely picture that we as a school can use to inform next steps and practical improvements as well as strategic planning.

We are currently in a planning phase for our next 3-5 year strategic plan for St Patrick's and welcome your supportive feedback.
Blessings,
Jo
