Dear Parents and Carers,
It was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents and family members come to the Celebration of Learning. It is important for us to celebrate the semester of learning with our students and families. So, a BIG Thank You!
All of our St Pat's kids were excited to go through their learning and bookmark several items of work of which they were particularly proud. If you were unable to attend, please check in with your child's teacher by email and book a time to come in early next term to talk with your child about their learning and celebrate their success.
Thanks to the St Patrick's teaching and support team for a great semester of learning.
Yesterday the joy was tangible at the Sydney Grammar School band performance. What an amazingly talented group of students. We say a special thank you to Sydney Grammar for visiting St Pat's, we feel blessed and privileged to have been given the opportunity! We also welcomed some of the children in the Bega Valley who are home-schooled. It was great to share the band experience with them.
And, just to make sure every minute counts for special celebrations in the last week of term, how wonderful to celebrate our St Patrick's Grandparents with our special morning today. Thank you to all the grandparents and family members and connected friends who could celebrate with us today.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy winter holiday. I hope you enjoy some time doing cold weather things, or migrating to warm weather if that is your preference!
Blessings,
Jo

Healthy habits – coping skills
Term 2 is almost finished, and we are practically halfway through the school year!
For this newsletter we thought we’d keep it simple and visual without too much reading.
Have a look at the coping skills poster below, maybe print it out and put it on your fridge, talk to your kids about it and practice using healthy coping skills together when things get tough or overwhelming. Add your own, circle your go-to coping skills or cross out any that don’t work for you!
If you’d like a more accessible printable version, please email me and I can send a copy – Samantha.hessenthaler@mccg.org.au
Have a happy and healthy holiday break and hope to see you all refreshed and recharged for Term 3.
