Kinder 2025 Enrolments We are delighted to meet our Kinder 2025 students and look forward to further enrolment interviews in coming weeks. Please let family and friends of Kinder-2025 students know that it is enrolment time!
Year 7 Enrolling Now This week our Year 6 students attended an orientation to secondary school at Lumen Christi Catholic College. As a Catholic school in the archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, St Patrick's is a feeder school to Lumen Christi Catholic College.
We highly recommend to families of Year 6 students that you consider Lumen Christi for your child's secondary education. For more information about LCCC please visit their website https://lumen.nsw.edu.au/ or contact Catherine Martino to book an appointment to discuss the pathway from Year 6 at St Patrick's to Year 7 at Lumen Christi. Year 7 enrolments are happening now.
Communicating with school Have you got a question, query or wondering about your child's learning and engagement at school? Great! We are here to listen to you and talk with you. So, what are the steps?
* most enquiries are between you and your child's teacher, you can email them to connect via email, or to make a time for a phone or in person chat.
* some enquiries are with another teacher, again email is a great starting place.
* sometimes you want to talk with me or a member of the Leadership Team, feel free to email or to phone the office to make a time for a call back or a meeting.
We value working in partnership with you.
I hope to see many families at the march tomorrow!
Blessings,
Jo

Out and About
This week St Pat's students have been out and about on excursions.
Junior Primary went on a walking excursion to the Bega Library on Wednesday for National Simultaneous Story Time.
National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Now in its 24th successful year, it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6.
On Wednesday Year 6 attended Lumen Christi's Open Day. The students participated in Science, Physical Education and Art lessons.
On Thursday Year 5 and 6 attended a NRL Gala Day.
Upcoming Events - National Reconciliation Week Picnic
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
On Friday 31st May at 11am St Pat's will be hosting a picnic for morning tea on the bottom flats with story sharing and games. Families and the community are invited to attend. We will provide fruit platters and popcorn for the children to share.

If at any time your family is experiencing financial hardship, or if your family is in need of other support, please contact the school to organise an appointment for a confidential meeting with our Principal, Jo Scott-Pegum to discuss how the school can help support your family. Please remember that if we don’t know your circumstances, we are not in a position to provide assistance. Applications for fee concessions are managed by the Principal in a confidential and sensitive manner.
Our five cross country stars travelled to Canberra last Friday to compete for a place in the Canberra Goulburn team. The Canberra track is an easier course than Wolumla, but the competition is much harder at this level. Our kids all tried their hardest and were a credit to our school. Two St Pat's kids have been selected in the Canberra Goulburn team and will compete next in Sydney. Well done to our five runners and congratulations to Arly and Archie. Arly came 3rd and Archie was 6th.
