Dear Parents and Carers,
A special thank you to Ricquel Morgan, who alongside Tam Prime and the parent volunteers worked hard to make our school disco a success. Thanks Ricquel! And thanks to past students Ayesha and Kendrick for providing the music and lighting - such a professional duo!
We are looking for parents to join our Community Council committee. We had a band of happy kinder students handing out flyers at the disco. Please consider being a member of the Council.

Exploring Learning at St Pat's
This week on my learning walks I focused on Visual Arts.
In Kinder they have been making art with a focus on the letter they have learned in InitiaLit.
5/6 have been exploring anthropomorphism: giving human characteristics to animals or objects.
3/4 have been exploring Amate. Amate bark painting is an ancient Mexican tradition that centralises on the painting of paper made from tree bark. Outside of the reaches of European influence, there hadn't been an introduction to traditional paper. Instead, pictures and symbols were painted on their own interpretation.

- Holy Week Services at St Patrick's Church (See below)
St Patrick's school cross country will be held on Friday 5th April. This carnival is for students in Year 3 – 6. The junior primary students will have a fun run in the park at date to be confirmed.
Unfortunately we are unable to use the showground this year as it is unsafe at the moment with building work. We intend to start in the school grounds with the children running around the playing fields then into Bega Park. The finish will be the usual spot in the park. The course will be a little different this year as we need to get in the extra distance lost in the showground.
Swimming: Next Tuesday will be the last lesson in our swimming for this season. As usual the children will be allowed to buy from the pool canteen. The limit for spending is $2.
