Dear Parents and Carers,
Last weekend five of our St Patrick's students formed our school team at the Interschools Equestrian Competition held here in Bega. Our team members, Amber, Clancy, Demi, Izzy and Thea paraded beautifully in their equestrian uniforms and won ribbons all day! St Pat's were the runners up in the overall pointscore. This was out of 16 schools and with only 5 team members, a great achievement. Some of the results are:
- Izzy was age champion- year 3/4 and
- Thea was runner up age champion- kinder/1/2
- Clancy was 3rd in her handler class and 6th in Hunter Class
Congratulations to all of our girls.
Wednesday was a cold but clear day for the Junior Cross Country - Fun Run. It was great to see our Kinder to Year 2 students out and active running the course. Thank you to the sport captains and school captains for their great leadership and support, and of course thank you to Mrs Harnett for organising the great event!
At St Patrick's we have a strong commitment to staff professional learning. At the Year 3-6 staff meeting this week our teachers met with a consultant from Sound Waves to further their knowledge and understanding of the synthetic phonic program we are teaching at St Pat's.
At the same time, the K-2 staff had further PL on the InitiaLit synthetic phonic program we have been teaching for the past 3 years. Our school data shows the great progress of our students in reading based on their active participation in this program.
It is good to acknowledge and remember we are all lifelong learners!
Blessings
Jo
FROM THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL & CLASSROOM SUPPORT
Week four has been a busy week, with our Junior Cross country taking place on Wednesday. I enjoyed being able to spend some time at the Cross Country and was once again impressed by the fantastic sportsmanship of our students. Well done St Pat’s!
Our Connecting Maths Concepts (CMC) program continues to run in classes from K-6 four days a week, with a fifth day allocated for additional maths tasks, including problem solving. Students now know the program very well and are demonstrating a high level of engagement during these sessions.
It has been lovely to spend time visiting classrooms to see students happily engaged in their learning. STEM sessions on Friday continue to be a success, with students learning from a range of platforms and apps. Mrs Harnett is enjoying being able to share her passion for technology with our students.
Prayer is an integral part of daily life at St Pat's. This morning, I watched a beautiful prayer session in Kindergarten. All students were displaying reverence, demonstrating an understanding of the significance of prayer.

New to the NCCD?
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) is an annual collection of information about Australian school students who are receiving adjustments due to disability.
At St Pat's we follow we phases of NCCD when creating and implementing Personalised Plans. As noted in the diagram parents and carers are involved in many of these phases. In upcoming weeks we will be reviewing goals and adjustments. As part of this process classroom teachers will be touching base with parents.
Please be advised that due to a technical issue not all fees were successfully emailed to families this term. Fee statements have also been sent home via paper form; therefore some families may receive Term 2 Fee Statement via email and paper form.
Currently fees can be paid via BPAY, Direct debit, Centrepay or QKR, however fee payment options are changing as of June 1. More communication will follow.
If you have not received your Term 2 Fee Statement or if you have any questions regarding your school fees account please contact the school office on 6492 5500 or office.bega@cg.catholic.edu.au.
If at any time your family is experiencing financial hardship, or if your family is in need of other support, please contact the school to organise an appointment for a confidential meeting with our Principal, Jo Scott-Pegum to discuss how the school can help support your family.

Snowy is becoming more beautiful every day and The Wicked Queen is not happy!
She has decided to send Snowy away, to get rid of her, once and for all.
The Magic Mirror has warned The Queen this is a huge mistake – Snowy is beautiful on the inside and the outside- everyone loves her. The Queen isn’t listening and orders The Hunter from the Palace to take Snowy into the forest and leave her there… forever! Meanwhile, the Cool Dudes have decided it’s time they started making healthier food choices and doing some exercise.
During this interactive production, kids will enjoy the opportunity of role-play as they are invited on stage to become a variety of characters- including The Cool Dudes- that love to rap!
The off-stage action continues with singing and dancing for the rest of the audience.
Target audience is 3 – 11 years and their families.
Running time – 50 minutes – PLUS “meet and greet” after the performance.
