FROM THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Merimbula Lakeside Lantern Walk
Students recently created festive and Aztec themed lanterns in Spanish, inspired by the Merimbula Lakeside Lantern Walk held over the long weekend.
The following students and their families represented the St Pat's spirit at the magical winter walk. Showcasing their outstanding lantern designs, braving the cold and the crowds and making Miss Grainger very proud.
Well done to the participants and all the St Patrick's students for applying such creativity and effort to their lantern craft.

MUSEUMS IN MOTION YEAR 5/6 MAPPEN UNIT
Rationale; We can better understand who we are by learning about the events and people who shaped our country
This term Year 5/6 students have researched the lives of influential people in Australian history. Students prepared a presentation about this person and delivered their speech this week. Mrs Ferris invited me to listen to some of the presentations this week. Congratulations to the following students for presenting information about an influential person.
Noah; Peter Lalor, Sophie; Charles Sturt, Jayme; Charles Latrobe, Drew; Robert O'Hara Burke, Alice; Ned Kelly, Connor; Edmund Barton, Bella; David Unaipon, Ruben; Truganini, Jack; Sir John Monash and Eva; Edith Cowan.
CONGRATULATIONS TO MACKILLOP HOUSE!!
Each week our House captains tally up the class tokens for their house. Tokens are awarded in class by teachers when students demonstrate St. Pat's behaviours. Every Monday at Assembly students are given the aggregate score for tokens. This term we congratulate Mackillop house who won narrowly and received extra play and an ice block yesterday. Last term Tenison won, so we are hoping Penola can be awarded the most tokens next term.
