FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers

At St Pat's, every minute counts and learning is the work. On my daily classroom walk around it is always great to see our students fully engaged in their learning and responding quickly to the instructions of their teacher. Each day the teachers commend students for their demonstration of the attributes of learning and engagement that we are teaching and expect of each student. Please ask your child what they have been recognised for this week.

On Monday our teachers and support staff engaged in more professional learning around our school approach in English and Maths. We explored further the Hochman method for writing, from The Writing Revolution. We also continued our journey with the implementation of Connecting Maths Concepts. In both curriculum areas we continue to develop the skill of designing and implementing the high impact teaching practice of daily review.
Congratulations to Nate for another sporting achievement. Nate has made it to the Archdiocesan Rugby Union team who will play in Forbes at the end of June. Good luck Nate.

This week has been Reconciliation Week. National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. It is an opportunity for all of us to continue the dialogue toward reconciliation. Information and resources can be found at https://nrw.reconciliation.org.au/about-nrw/ Please take some time to talk about reconciliation with your children.
