During the past week several students have represented St Pat's with two St Pat's students excelling in the sporting arena.

Drew Duncan, Blake Taylor and Nate Irvin travelled to Canberra last Friday to trial for the MacKillop Rugby League Team. They had already been selected in the Canberra Goulburn side. This part of the selection involves participants from many areas including the very strong Sydney teams south of the Harbour Bridge. Many of the boys and girls from the Sydney teams come from diverse cultural backgrounds can be as large as adults! To be selected at this level you need outstanding skills. We are very proud of Drew who was selected at the position of 'lock' for the MacKillop side. Drew will travel to Parkes next month to compete against other teams for selection in the state side.

Ruben Bailey-Roberts, Archie Sly, Will Nicholson and Arly Schrader competed at the Archdiocesan Cross Country in Canberra last Monday. Arly came fourth in this event last year, but as a young lady with great determination, she has planned her own training schedule and  has been looking for ways to improve. With her additional training and effort Arly won the event this year! She now goes on to Sydney to compete at the MacKillop level. 

We are very proud of all these children and wish Drew and Arly well at the next level of competition.
