FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers
Do you use the term 'Finishing Strong' with your children? Perhaps at weekend sport, in a Nippers event, in a swimming or running race?... At school we recognise and commend our students for 'finishing strong.' At our daily assemblies students are honoured for the St Pat's kids characteristics they are showing in the classroom and at play. Every day many students are recognised for their diligence and persistence, for their cooperation and collaboration, for their welcome of others and sportsmanship at play. Every day through the year, and as Term 4 comes to a close we commend our students for 'finishing strong' living the school pillars and rules. You might like to ask your child how they are being a St Pat's kid each day.
Look Into Thinking Look, Listen, Learn
Look Ahead to the Future Respect, Share, Grow
Look After Each Other Be Safe, Be Happy
In particular we need to acknowledge our junior students and teachers for persistence and resilience - particularly yesterday - getting wet two ways to ensure they could still have their swim lessons! Despite the inclement weather our St Pat's kids kept up their spirit and made it to the pool and back!
Step Up
We are planning a shorter, and Covid safe, STEP UP morning for next Tuesday morning. Students will meet with their class group and teacher for 2022 and enjoy a short 'getting to know you' time.
We have worked hard, following our class allocation policy, to create balanced learning groups for 2022. We take into consideration teacher, parent and student input with a strong focus on learning, but ultimately the Leadership Team finalises all class lists to ensure there is balance.
Thank you for supporting your child in this transition time by talking positively about their class and teacher for 2022 and being excited about the year ahead. Your positive response as parents will help your children to look ahead to the future with hope and happiness.
Jesus is the Reason for the Season
We are enjoying this special time of Advent preparing for the birth of the Christ child. Across the classrooms our students are learning why we celebrate Christmas. Students from Kinder proudly shared their gorgeous tree decorations. They had drawn a nativity scene and were able to talk about the story of Jesus' birth.
