The benefits of learning to speak confidently in public at the youngest possible age can pay huge dividends across all areas of our lives as we get older:
- It can be a great self-esteem booster
- Help us to influence and persuade others more effectively
- Help us to think critically and creative
- Help us make new social connections
- Help us to significantly enhance our personal relationships
- Help us to just be more comfortable with people
- Public speaking can help us to inspire people and even change the world.
- The world really does open up to us when we know how to get our point across and speak with impact.
YEAR 6 LEADERS 2022
Our present Year 5 students will participate in a Leadership 2022 day on Friday 19th November. The students will work alongside their 2022 teachers to build on their leadership skills and develop character strengths necessary to lead our school. The students demonstrated this first step by welcoming our Kinder 2022 students during their orientation. Year 5 students were allocated a buddy for the day and greeted the children, warmly welcoming them to St. Pat's Bega. They demonstrated a pride on our school and transitioned the Kinders into their classroom.
