FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
Such joy as always comes in the Aleeta dance week has been weaving its way through the school community this week. It is true that there is some dance in the feet of the children as they move around the school. What a blessing that Aleeta was able to make it to St Pat’s Bega due to her location prior to this week being a covid free LGA! Thank you Aleeta for once again sharing your passion for dance and the creative arts, the week of ‘polishing performances’ is ahead.
Noa Jessop Memorial Award
Today we presented the Noa Jessop Memorial Award. The award is presented annually to a student at St Patrick’s who emulates, in their school life at St Patrick’s, the core attributes for which Noa Jessop is remembered.
The three core attributes are:
- Christian Spirit – active participation in the faith and worship life of the class and school.
- Sportsmanship – fairness, inclusive of all, enjoys sport for its’ own sake, respectful of one’s fellow competitors, gracious in victory or defeat.
- Contribution to School - keen to participate in all school pursuits: academic and sporting, and to develop skills and ability with determination and courage.
Congratulations to Lincoln Thompson on receiving this award. We thank Heidi and Grant Jessop for presenting the Award.
Our congratulations go to the nominees for this award: Archie Sly, Angus Fleming, Colin Dowd, Lily Mason, Arly Schrader, Chase Salway, Sienna Taylor, Imogen Murray, Abbey Collins, Lexi Spitzer, Jack Garner and Kai Schrader.
Big Steps Move It!
Our Big Steps - Move It! program was enjoyed by Kinder 2022 students as a remote experience. The focus of Move It! was health and wellbeing and the development of gross motor and fine motor skills.
As information is shared from Catholic Education we will update parents through Skoolbag messages. Please ensure you have St Pat's activated on the Skoolbag app.
Blessings for a peaceful weekend
