The school athletics carnival was held on Wednesday in fairly unpleasant conditions. The field was very wet in places but we were able to complete all events. The relay changed from a circular relay to a shuttle relay to avoid a very muddy part of the track. Penola was the winning house for 2021.

The age champions are

Junior girl – Arly Schrader, Jnr boy – Drew Duncan

11 yr girl – Claire Breust, 11yr boy – Jack Garner

Senior girl – Ella Taylor, Snr boy – Lincoln Thompson.

Congratulations goes to these children as well as the team that has been selected to compete at the Southern Region Carnival which will be held here in Bega next term. The children who will be attending this carnival have taken a note home.

The Southern Region Carnival will be held on Thursday 29^th July. Our school is in charge of running the carnival as well as the canteen. We will be asking for helpers on this day to cook on the bbq as well as serve, set up and clean up. Cakes, slices etc will also be appreciated if you are unable to help on the day. There will be reminders about this next term.

The first Friday back next term we will be holding our fun athletics day for junior primary children. This will be held in the school grounds from 11.30am.
