FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have delighted in celebrating Mother’s and mother figures today at our Mother’s Day breakfast and liturgy – we were happily overwhelmed to have SO many attendees! We do hope you enjoyed your breakfast and spending the morning with your children and our school community.
Congratulations to the winners of our Mother's day lucky draw raffle.
Thank you for your support of the St Vincent de Paul Mother's Day raffle.
A thousand thanks to Fr Luke and the Men's group from the Parish for preparing and serving the food. Great job!!
Thank you to the Fundraising committee for the delightful flowers and plants stall for special gifts for mum and the delicious scones and jam packs for that celebration treat!
Thank you to our Year 1/2 students and teachers for leading the Mother’s Day liturgy, and to Mrs Grant for her organisation of this.
Staff: This Week we welcomed Mrs Nancy Santos to our staff, here is a little introduction from Mrs Santos.
Hi my name is Nancy Santos and I’m really excited about joining the wonderful team here at St Pat’s.
When we lived in Canberra for 10 years, as a family we loved holidaying in Bega and visiting the beautiful beaches nearby, so we made the decision to relocate here.
We were in the Northern Territory in a small town called Tennant Creek visiting my husband’s family when we got stuck due to Covid. It was a fantastic place to self-isolate for a year and a great experience for all of us, especially our two teenage daughters, India and Sofia.
We also have three pets that we rescued, two dogs, called Nelly and Ralphie and Rufus our fluffy cat.
After receiving my Bachelor of teaching in Newcastle, I decided to explore Australia and started my full time teaching career in the Northern Territory. My teaching experiences included teaching in Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Canberra. I have taught a diverse group of children, from remote communities as well as children from non-English backgrounds.
I look forward to the new and wonderful adventures to be had in Bega and of course here at St Pat’s primary!
St Pat’s Facebook: Have you taken a look at and liked our school facebook page? We want to celebrate and share life and learning at St Pat’s in this space. If you haven’t taken a look here’s a link https://www.facebook.com/St-Patricks-Primary-School-Bega-100629802165064/ And for the tech and social media savvy parents, we will soon be on Instagram too!
We hope that you enjoy a little special time on Sunday in honour of motherhood!
Blessings
Jo
