Dear Parents and Carers,

Today we celebrate the last day of Term 3, 2020. Many students have earned their way to the class celebration day by following the three school rules and engaging successfully in their learning. For most of us, both teachers and students, Term 3 has felt more like a year in duration. Such is the experience of the covid aspect of the 2020 year and the changes that the pandemic has brought to our lives. This week in particular has been reasonably hectic but also filled with joy as each class performed their dance for the camera, and for the future family audience when the dvd’s arrive. We didn’t ever imagine that we would be having a concert without a live audience - and yet that is what we have done!

I offer our sincere and heartfelt thanks to:

• Ms Aleeta Northey for her amazing talent in choreography.
• Mr Adam Twyford for freely giving his time and talent yet again to be the sound and light engineer.
• Mr Ross Mannell for freely giving his time and talent as our videographer - which we will all appreciate even more in the year 2020 when the concert DVD will be the hottest DVD in 155 family lounge rooms the week it is produced!
• The staff at St Pat’s for their flair in bringing the class performances to fruition and their creativity in costuming and of course their on stage pizzazz!
• Mrs Perryman for coordinating so many elements of the concert experience.
• Mr & Mrs Perryman, Mr & Mrs Carracher, Ms Nicholas and Mrs Wiley for their weekend work on the amazing Disney themed backdrop.

AND

• Most importantly to our 220 St Pat’s kids for their persistent and diligent efforts for 2 ½ weeks to rehearse, rehearse, rehearse and get the dance just right for the stage! We really enjoy seeing our students learn and develop their dance and stage performance skills through practice and persistence (we really like seeing them develop many skills across the curriculum through practice and persistence).

The school will order one concert dvd per family, this will be our gift to our St Pat’s kids for their fabulous performance. If your family would like further copies they will be available for order on qkr for $10. Orders must be made by Friday 9th October.
