FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
The St Pat’s staff and I are very excited that the current phase of the Covid time for us is closing and a new phase – ALL CHILDREN BACK TO SCHOOL- is opening for us. We have been missing the children and are looking forward to seeing their bright smiling faces coming through the school gates next Monday morning. The teachers are looking forward to the change of teaching mode from remote / online to on site / face to face. If your child is absent due to illness or not yet returning please communicate this in writing to their class teacher.
You may like to take some time with your child/ren to reflect on the remote learning program and what the at home learning experience has taught you. As parents and children taking time to talk with one another about what you have learned from and about each other would be a wonderful closure to the current experience. Here are some questions to prompt the conversation….
What were the best aspects of learning at home?
What learning are you most proud of?
What were your biggest challenges when learning at home?
How did you/we manage the challenges?
What new skills have you learned?
What routines worked best in our family?
What is one thing you are looking forward to about returning to school?
What would you like your teacher to know about how remote learning was for you?
