FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
A big thanks to Tam for the organising and to the team of helpers last Friday including Ricquel, Wendy and Quynh! We really appreciate your volunteering to make experiences like the Beachathon not only possible, but really fun and memorable for our students. Your energy, time, and enthusiasm are appreciated!
This past week, I have had the opportunity to spend three days in Canberra attending a series of Principal meetings. A key part of the visit involved strategic planning with fellow Southern Region principals, where we looked ahead to 2026 and beyond. These discussions centred on regional priorities, leadership development, and how we can collectively support student growth, wellbeing and learning.
I had the privilege of attending the Canberra and Goulburn Catholic Leaders’ Day, a gathering of all principals from our Archdiocese. The day was centred on deepening our shared commitment to Catholic values and exploring long-term strategic directions for our schools. Through prayer, reflection, and rich dialogue, we considered how our faith-based leadership can continue to shape vibrant, inclusive learning communities.
Another highlight was engaging with representatives from the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA). This session provided clarity around the expectations of the NSW curriculum and the upcoming changes that will impact teaching and learning. We explored ways to ensure our school remains aligned with best practices and continues to deliver high-quality education that meets the needs of every student.
Overall, the time in Canberra was wonderful for collaboration, forward-thinking leadership, and staying connected to the broader educational community. I look forward to bringing these insights back to our St Pat's school community and continuing the conversation with staff, students, and families as we plan for St Pat’s strong and successful future.
See you in Week 3. Blessings!
Jo
