This coming Wednesday we are proudly sending a group of St Pat's kids to Sydney to compete for the Canberra Goulburn Archdiocese at the MacKillop athletics trials. This is the level before Nationals so there will be a large contingent of city kids who get to train at top facilities with professional trainers also competing. We wish these students all the best, good luck and we hope they bring home some personal bests: Archie, Ally, Remmi, Austin, Aiden, Toby, Conor, Indi, Henry, Tommy and Jayden.

Most of this years pathways events for individual sports have been completed. Next years pathways have opened and there will be 3 trials held shortly. As this is for next year it is open to students in years four and five, next years senior primary.

The skill level must be of a very high standard. If selected there is a lot of travelling involved so there is also a commitment to this. The following sports will hold their trials on these dates:

* Basketball- boys and girls November 21st in Canberra

* Tennis -  boys and girls November 21st Canberra

* Cricket – boys and girls October 31st Queanbeyan 

If you feel your child has the skills to trial for any of these sports please contact the school to see if they meet all criteria involved.

I have also just received a flyer stating that next year they hope to begin a pathway for girls who are rugby league tackle players. Instead of a boys U11's  they will try to introduce a girls U12. If you have a daughter interested in Rugby League look out for the information next year.
