Father's Day Breakfast

This morning, our school community gathered to honour the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who enrich our lives with their love, wisdom, and quiet strength. Our St Pat's Father’s Day Breakfast was a beautiful celebration of connection, appreciation, and shared joy.

To all our fathers and father figures—thank you. You are deeply cherished.

Blessed Carlo Acutis

On September 7, 2025, the Catholic Church will officially canonise Blessed Carlo Acutis, declaring him a saint alongside Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. Carlo will become the first millennial saint, a powerful witness to young people everywhere that holiness is not reserved for the past, but is alive and possible today.

Born in 1991 and raised in Milan, Carlo was known for his deep love of the Eucharist and his passion for technology. At just 15 years old, he created a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles from around the world, using his digital skills to share the beauty of faith with others. He once said, “The Eucharist is my highway to heaven,” and lived each day with joyful devotion until his death from leukemia in 2006.

Carlo’s canonisation reminds us that sainthood is not about perfection, it’s about love, service, and staying close to Jesus. His life encourages our students to embrace their gifts, live with purpose, and know that even in the digital age, faith can flourish.

As a school community, we give thanks for this new saint who speaks the language of our time and inspires us to walk the path of holiness with courage and joy. Over the coming week, students have been invited to explore the inspiring life of Carlo Acutis and discover why he is being canonised as a saint. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about a young person who lived with faith, joy, and purpose in our modern world. Some of the most thoughtful and interesting facts will be shared at morning assembly in Week 9 (There may even be a prize). You might like to spend time reading together with your child at home and reflecting on the ways Carlo’s story can inspire us to live with kindness, courage, and love.
