FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers,

Living Our Faith Through Social Justice At St Patrick’s, we believe that faith is not just something we learn about—it’s something we live. One of the most powerful ways our students live out their faith is through acts of social justice. Whether it’s supporting local or Catholic charities, or advocating for fairness and inclusion, our children are learning that their actions can reflect the Gospel values of compassion, dignity, and love. These experiences help them understand that faith calls us to serve others, especially those who are vulnerable or in need.

Social justice is deeply rooted in Catholic teaching, reminding us that every person is created in the image of God and deserves respect and care. When children engage in social justice, they begin to see the world through a lens of empathy and responsibility. They learn that their voices matter and that they can be agents of change. These lessons go beyond the classroom—they shape character, build resilience, and foster a sense of purpose. Our students are not only growing academically but also spiritually and morally, guided by the values of justice and mercy.

This commitment to social justice is important not just for our students, but for the world they are growing into. In a time when global challenges can feel overwhelming, our children are learning that small acts of kindness and courage can make a big difference. They are becoming young leaders who understand that living their faith means standing up for what is right, caring for creation, and building a more just and loving society. We are proud of the way our students embody the heart of our Catholic mission—bringing hope, healing, and light to the world around them.

Thank you to the parents supporting their children to participate in the Sudsy Challenge this week, it is great to see many students engaging in this social justice initiative to raise money and awareness of the plight of people 'doing it tough.' A special Well Done!! to Cooper on his sensational fundraising efforts!

Wishing all father's and father figures a Happy Father's Day for Sunday.
