Last Friday Archie, Will N and Jayden C travelled to Canberra to play for the Canberra Goulburn Under 11's Rugby League team. Their competition came from Parramatta, Sydney City, Wollongong and Wagga /Albury. The fact that our Archdiocese covers such a large area means students are unable to train together as a team. The boys tried their hardest often being asked to fill in, in positions other than their preferred choice. From all reports the competition fielded players who were comparatively giants, particularly the Sydney sides. Girls are allowed to play at this level, and two girls were selected in the MacKillop side. One of our St Pat's kids, Will, was also selected which is an amazing accolade. At the end of the possible V probables game Will was battered, bruised and bleeding but grinning from ear to ear with the excitement of being picked! His next games will be trials for selection in the NSW team. Well done Will!
