Pentecost

On Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost. Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks. On Friday, Mini Vinnies students held a school Liturgy for Pentecost. Below are some activities that you may like to do at home with your families. 

• Teach your children a prayer to the Holy Spirit
• Light thirteen candles at dinner sometime this week to represent the descent of the Holy Spirit on the twelve apostles and Mary
• Talk about the Holy Spirit
• Read stories from the New Testament in the Bible
• Learn a phrase or word in several different languages
