Dear Parents and Carers,
In this most important time in the Christian calendar, Holy Week, we thank the students in the three middle primary classes for sharing through drama the journey of Jesus toward the cross.
34R Palm Sunday

34Y The Last Supper
34G The Way of the Cross
Our students have left the story of Easter at the tomb. We look forward to celebrating the resurrection on Easter Sunday, and further celebrating the joy of Easter at our liturgy on Tuesday when we return to school.
On my Pilgrimage to the Holy Land this time last year, I sat at the garden of Gethsemane, where the disciples waited with Jesus, prayed, and fell asleep.
It was a quiet and peaceful place, with a beautiful basilica beside the olives. The ancient trees were gnarled and beautiful. The roots of one tree were breaking through the concrete wall, a poignant place to remember the first Easter and to pray for the joy of Jesus Christ, risen.
When your children ask about the symbolism of the Easter egg there are two ways Christians speak to this; the breaking of the egg is the hatching of new life; the breaking of the egg is the rolling of the stone to the empty tomb of the resurrection.
May the Easter weekend be time for your family to have quiet time, reflection time and celebration time together.
Congratulations to Levi Dale on his representation at the MacKillop AFL trials in Wagga Wagga this week. Well done Levi! More in the Sport News section.
Many Blessings
