Another splashing start to the week for some St Patrick's students who represented our school at the Southern Region Swimming Carnival in Narooma on Monday. Congratulations to all representatives. We are so proud of the whole team and also celebrate individual successes. Well done Henry on being joint age champion! Please read the Sport news for more information.

On Tuesday we enjoyed another visit from our COGlearn coach Andrew Pirie who is working with our teaching staff to continue their journey of improvement in implementing High Impact Teaching Strategies in their teaching. Andrew did some modelling of signalling and error correction.

Thank you to the Community Council for the donation of $5K toward our new playground markings on the concrete, our school has been saving money for adding to playtime experiences and it was fortuitous that our connection with EduMarking was so timely that they were in the Bega Valley this early in the year! We have 2 designs on the concrete outside the hall for the Yr3-6 playtime, and 5 designs in the COLA and on the concrete for K-2 play. Come and take a look!

 

Shade & Sun Safety

Thank you to the students and parents who presented a problem for us to solve - Where is the recess shade for Yr 3 / 4 eating area? This is our current solution to offer sunsafe spots for students whilst they eat for 10min at both breaks. We are blessed to have the church providing more shade at the lunch break but recess needed a solution.

 

Playground Shade

The Catholic Education Planning and Facilities team took over our senior playground shade project last year and have been working with the provider, the architects and council to try and finalise the project. Last year the Community council committed $5K to support this project for which we are grateful! All fundraising events help to make improvements in our school.
