FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers,

What better day than the last day of term to organise such fun for our Kinder to Year 2 students at their mini athletics carnival. It is wonderful to see much energy and enthusiasm from everyone. Thank you to Mrs Harnett for her organisation and Year 6 students for their support to make the carnival a success.

Term 3 is always known as a busy and tiring term. With our dance concert and the quick change of season to summer, fatigue has set in for many of our students (and the principal too!) and the holiday break will be a welcome time of relaxation and family.

Please remember to have some quiet days amongst the holiday fun days to give your children time to fully wind down and rest.

Amongst all the other activities you offer your child during their break please consider monitoring their screen-diet and balance any time online with lots of time playing other things both indoors and outdoors. I listened to this great podcast recently from Meg Durham and The School of Wellbeing. It is a conversation with Dr Kristy Goodwin titled 'Digital Distractions.'

"So many of us have become swept up in technology that we haven't really paused to examine the role that it plays." - Dr Kristy Goodwin

"This dynamic episode is for educators, parents and people like you who feel there is something just a little off about how much time and attention we devote to our devices throughout the day. Featuring the brilliant Dr Kristy Goodwin, we dive deep into conversation about the digital world's impact on our personal and professional lives."

Take some time to listen.

Enjoy the break!

Blessings,

NEEDS OF LAY CATHOLICS TODAY

To find out and to help improve their services to our Archdiocese, the Canberra Circle of The Catenians, an international association of lay Catholics, is conducting an Archdiocesan-wide online survey.
