FROM THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
On Thursday, Years 3-6 enjoyed a performance by Starrs Productions, called ‘Return of the Bully’.
See some reviews below from senior students.
Karate Play
Bullying is a subject that everyone needs to learn about. That’s what Year 3-6 experienced on Thursday. Some amazing people came to our school to teach us about bullying. The main points were:
- Stand tall
- Don’t react
- Don’t disagree, just agree
- Block their path
- Don’t throw stones
- Write a Journal
The kids all enjoyed it very much. It really helped us out and it was great fun and an educational way to learn. The presentation let us engage and feel safe at our school.

Yesterday, the students from Years 3-6 at St Pat's saw a little play about how to beat bullies. I think it taught us well because it was full of comedy and still gave informative examples of the six strategies on beating bullies. There was a Karate Sensei who was trying to act tough, but he was a scaredy cat. We all left with strategies on how to beat bullies. All in all, I really enjoyed the play and it will help me in the future.
